Letter to a Liberal Christian - Part 1

You  think the Democratic party is the best.   And you are not alone among evangelicals who  think that.   However, it is perplexing to understand how Christians could support  the left.  Extreme left is Communist –depriving people of their freedoms, including religious freedom,  and the fruits of their labors –destroying individual initiative and motivation to create by destroying the right to private ownership and the initiative to increase one’s productivity and earnings.  Everything belongs to the State in a communistic nation.  No freedom.  Atheistic.  Constant surveillance by the KGB.  Redistribution of wealth occurred in Russia and in Cuba.  In my lifetime.   China’s thing was to stop all the birthing—and now some of their leaders realized they have way more boys than girls –and they still forcibly sterilize and abort their women –and put Christians in jail –in China.  North Korea is communistic and cruel to all.

 shows that in the 60’s  --when I was in high school -- conservatives had the same fears we have today that our liberal direction  is diabolical, weakening us, leading to socialism (mild communism) which leads to financial ruin.   The 60’s were the beginning of the hippie “free love” era :  “make love, not war” –and a rise in drug use encouraged even by liberal profs.     An issue back then was union abuse –the way they were thuggish in their strikes and protected truant and undiligent workers, shoddy products, bad teachers  and always voted for democrats.  

 My husband got a bad impression of all the auto workers wanting him to give them endless sick excuses  and to even get them on disability when they really weren’t  verifiably sick.  His uncle was a union boss and often met with mafia types.   I early on, growing up,  got the idea that the Democratic party was the greater evil of the 2 parties.     I grew up reading politics in Time and Life magazines –would read the letters to the editor, etc.  IT was great education to strain to understand grown-up writing. 

My parents, (lower middle class) taught me that people should take care of themselves, study in school to get ahead and be responsible for their own kin—and not expect the gov’t to do it for them by taking from those who work to give to those who don’t.   Of course, we all  DO believe in charity and gov’t aid  for those who cannot work, or cannot find work.  But when a family gets $600 a month or so on a food card, they do not want to give that up!  When they also get $700 at least per month for being “depressed,” as single mothers,  and have a health card –they don’t want to give that up for a job that pays  them no more than what their gov’t is giving them to not work.   Of course, entry-level jobs pay less than gov’t would for a single mom and 4 kids –so it seems  she is better off to stay on welfare until she gets them grown—(and I want them to have those checks and cards) but what happens?  Her kids do the same thing –and here come more babies into the house.  And so we go back to Uncle Sam and ask for more money.     We have too many people in this situation –and morals are the reason!   And gov’t enables.    It is the breakdown of marriage –and the complete lack of marriage today –that causes a lot of our poverty.  It’s not the rich being too tight-fisted.   It’s not the fault of husbands who are happy if their wives stay home.   In fact, more husbands today WANT their wives to work  outside the home and think they are lazy if they don’t.  Many men in black culture think it’s the wife’s duty to be the breadwinner with Uncle Sam –they just spread their seed and drop in from house to house and think the women should give THEM money.  I know people.

General Petraeus's Confession --WHY was it public?

It seems there is something fishy about the timing of General Petraeus's confession. Did O's people MAKE him confess and resign, in hopes he wouldn't have to testify? Did they threaten him with worse problems regarding prosecution and pension, etc., if he didn't step down before Benghazi hits the fan? Was either P or O hoping to distract from any errors of theirs re: Benghazi? Why is it ok for Clinton to skirt around but not a general? Clinton was Commander in chief, after all! Not that adultery isn't serious betrayal and risky for CIA as well as presidents, making them both vulnerable to blackmail-based decisions. But why is it a step-down offense for a general but not for the Commander in Chief? Why wouldn't the general just protect his wife as well as himself from the shame --and just quietly make up with his wife if he could --or quietly resign. Why the public confession? He seems genuinely contrite, but methinks somebody got to him --and it has to do with Benghazi. I think O's people wanted him to resign and want to imply eventually that any error in Benghazi was P's fault due to his distractions in the moral arena. Maybe someone put a million in an off shore bank account for P. Yes, I'm just speculating --but I smell a rat here! The public disclosure makes no sense.

OPEN LETTER TO OBAMA

Dear Mr. President:

We --and the Romney-supporters (half the country) really do want to like you with your nice smile and great charisma and lovely family.  We want to be glad that you were re-elected.  You can help us do that.  We don’t want to think you have communistic sympathies or a colonialist view of the U.S.  nor  plans to disarm our country with promises to Putin.    

You did say in your speech a few moments ago that the top 2? per cent of the nation make $250,000 or more and should be taxed more. Those include mostly small business owners and various professionals --rather than the super-rich  of the top 1/2 per cent.  These are Marx's  bourgeois --the middle class conservatives whom Communists destroyed.    According to 2009 and Tax Payers Union,  it was $344,000 that the top 1 per cent make.     There aren’t very many uber-rich who make millions like Romney, Hollywood celebs, uni coaches and presidents and CEO's of big corporations --not enough to slow the deficit if you keep approving pork and  new billion dollar spending packages and sending tons of money to other nations' corrupt governments. 

Please surprise the half of the country that supported Romney.  We are scared to death of your agenda --what we perceive it to be--and the radical influences in your past.   Please prove us wrong.  Show that you can cut programs for which we should not borrow from China.  We know --that means lost public sector jobs --but if China is paying them, they have to go.   If they are valuable employees in a department we don’t really need, they will find work elsewhere in a more prosperous private sector --i.e. more prosperous if you don't tax them down.

We suggest you not raise taxes EXCEPT SLIGHTLY on the uber  rich -- the top 1/2 per cent.  You still want them to be inclined to invest, hire, spend and give.  Learn from business people who know how to succeed at business and know how taxes impact growth.  The Government needs way too much revenue because of the horrible level of spending.  Let Big Bird support Public Broadcasting.  He can do it.  They can sell muppets.  As for Public Radio, put Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion on every day and we’ll send them a donation.  PBS  is not neutral enough politically that they should deserve tax-payer support.  They speak in their measured, neutral, unemotional tones --leaning WAY to the left --as far left as Fox News speaks excitedly with no pretense of neutrality, to the right.  But Fox raises their own money.  So can NPR.  (note:  “fair and balanced”  doesn’t mean neutral.)

Planned Parenthood shouldn't get public funding if  pro-life Pregnancy Centers and clinics don't.  The poor women will still get healthcare using their medicaid cards and the public health clinics.

You must move toward the center if you would meet the Republicans half way and end the supposed gridlock.   Your determination should be NO NEW SPENDING --and the elimination of all non-essential spending and departments that don’t directly impact the needy or the elderly or the ill.    Send the education of the nation back to the locals. Shut down the federal department of education.   Send the school breakfast program to the churches.   Promote volunteer tutoring by the elderly in every public school. Note that Christian and parochial and home schools educate best on way less money. 

And for goodness sakes, PLEASE deliver to the nation’s youth Santorum’s message from your bully pulpit. The 3 things to do to avoid poverty:  “Finish high school; get a job; get married before having children--( and stay married if possible.  Stay faithful. ) If you do even the first 3 things on this list, 98% of you will be above poverty line; 77% will be above average in income.”

There really is a correlation between family stability and morality and the strength of communities and nations.  You are for gay marriage, but ought not be, because children deserve a mother and father when possible.  Gay marriage deprives them of one or the other by its very nature.   Nor should gays share quarters with straights (or with each other) in military.  It’s like putting men and women together in showers and barracks--completely distracting to the mission of military preparedness.  Homosexuality does spread --from the experienced to the inexperienced, and like drugs, becomes addictive.

Please be better than conservatives expect.   Seriously see the logic and reason behind conservatism and their criticism of your party and policies.    Communism hasn’t been appreciated anywhere where it is tried. Socialism leads to the fiscal cliff  --sliding like Greece--and you’ve got us on the edge.  Surprise us --and do not push us over.  Don’t tax us highly now or you will kill business and jobs.  People are thinking of moving out of country for fear you will rob them of their pensions --either through confiscation of high taxes or bad economy, inflation, devaluing of the dollar, etc.  We are afraid of having our lives shortened by your Canada-style health care program.  Let someone tweak that program!  We don't want the long waits and rationing of Canadian healthcare! Canadians come HERE for procedures they can't get in a timely manner in Canada.

As for national security and disarming Americans, we hope you are just Barack Obama from Hawaii --and not a Stalin in the making as some suspect.

Seek good successful businessmen’s advice and not just socialists’ advice.   They have never made any nation solvent.

Put Romney on your cabinet! Because he does like to solve  financial problems.   Wow!  That would be a uniting act.  Listen to Ryan, too.  We are in a mess.  Let them try to help! 

We shall pray for you daily--that you really ARE a Christian  as you told Rick Warren --or will become one and that you will seek God’s guidance on all matters before you --not Marx’s advice, nor Alinsky’s, nor Ayers, nor Davis’s.  Only Jesus rose from the grave.   He is the only one worthy to save us for Eternity.  Atheists can’t give you wise guidance like the Holy Spirit and the Word of God can.  Your stands on abortion and homosexuality --and lukewarm relationship with Israel,  are all 3 in contradiction to His Word and His Spirit and need to be reconsidered.   Separation of church and state doesn't mean God is not real --and has no say in the country's values which shape national culture and character. 

Forgive us for any misjudgment of your character and intentions, and prove all the naysayers wrong.

A Blog Argument about Obama's Victory and Implications re: Healthcare

David --some people can't stand contentious discussions--but you and I are not insulting each other--we just have differing ideas about this president --and both feel strongly. Otherwise, you are an admirable Christian chap --and I hope you think I am. In fact, I hope I am wrong about Obama -and that he pulls to the center instead of the left and will consider seriously how to get us out of our financial pickle without caving to communistic and socialistic strategies. I hope he'll stop disarming us and do better with foreign policy. I hope you can say to me in 2016: "There, now THAT wasn't so bad after all, was it?" And I will be thrilled if you can say that then. 

Meanwhile, Obamacare IS socialism--it IS power to Big Gov't over the people, power over the religious institutions on birth control and abortifacients, power over too many industries, over our incomes and business strategies. 

In healthcare, Gov't should work to curb malpractice lawsuits instead of individual initiative. Do you know that lawyers make huge money off of doctors by just initiating lawsuits? They don't have to win the suits. They don't want legislature to take away their cash cow, the doctors, with tort reform. All they need to do is bring a suit --then the docs settle out of court because it's more cost effective to do so! less risky and time consuming. They might sue for a million and get $100,000 just for suing and not proving anything. The risk is the pity the jury feels for a man with health problems --and they figure they aren't hurting anyone by giving the patient a million dollars from the insurer for his misery. They don't need to be convinced the patient was mal-treated; just that he is suffering. A doctor worries that if he fails to document that he gave advice to a pt., that the pt. can deny he was advised --and then the doc gets sued and can lose all his savings/pension if insurance fails. So the record-keeping is costly, painstaking, and designed to be "defensive medicine" --defending against lawyers and nuisance suits --and the gov't. Then the increased costs of malpractice insurance are passed to the docs --and to the patients --and the insurers and the gov't. Ohio had a cap on lawsuits thanks to a supreme court --but they just lost one of the judges (Cupp) who saw the sense of the legislatures cap on malpractice settlements. Where John Edwards had practiced malpractice law, his state lost its malpractice insurers and doctors for awhile because the costs were out of sight. He argued and won cases he should've lost. 

Government's OSHA fined an MD $20,000 in Perrsyburg --because his worker laid a sandwich on a counter in the office lab. That's unnecessary confiscation. $100 would make the same point --but OSHA inspectors (like the IRS) have to justify their own department's gov't salary with fines.

 In Canada, my husband says the docs are paid so much for so many hours of work --there is no compensation for working your butt off as he does. And so everyone has long waits to get anything done. He doesn't do it just for income--but to get the work done in a timely manner, to do Christian service to the ill --no man works harder or longer hours than he does --he got along on 4 hours of sleep most of his career --and he is compensated well enough as far as he's concerned. But work and continuing education and tests are constantly over his head. He sits with 2 foot high stacks of test results and charts every weekend, until midnight Sunday --at least. 

 Gov't had to start compensating family docs more --as only 2% of medical grads wanted to slave away for gov't pay and even the insurance pay for family practice. They were all going into the specialties --so legislature or whoever determines compensation through Medicaid and Medicare, upped the pay for family docs--which was good. 

My husband  is a hilarious giver too (biblical term) --likes being able to be generous. Because his family was rather poor growing up --lived with the grandmother in her house --and his mother finally got a teaching degree and that helped. His father had epilepsy which affected his ability to hold a job. Because of Jon's hard work, the gov't hasn't had to pay for our kids' education. Not everyone is blessed with the ability to work like he does --I couldn't do it --and though I read and write better than he, I have read the med school level texts and known I could never have comprehended the boring text books with their extreme complexity--it's not just about identifying disease and finding a remedy --that would be easy (except for the volume of diseases and remedies to memorize!) It's the deep deep scientific understanding that underlies medical education that is just beyond me. And the nerve to sew up some real messes in an ER --and to pull a stake out of a guy's leg! Even if I worked at it as he did, I don't think I could've ever passed the national boards in the end! nor have his stamina. He undergoes extreme stress for testing and always has. Such initiative and drive are rare, I believe --it didn't come easily to him as probably to some others in his field --though it's not easy for any doctor. His grandfather prayed daily that Jon would have a "gift for diagnosis," and I really think he does. 

About our concerns for the future --we have a pension plan that is taxed when we draw it out. We have not stashed away nearly as much as we could've --we spend and give and enjoy both --without living lavishly and eating bon bons in the mediterranean! which would be fun, I think --but we don't want Obama to tax us to death in retirement. It costs $6000 a month for a nursing home now! And Medicare won't pay until we are broke. So if one of us has a stroke and Obamacare won't give us surgery--into the home we go --and there goes our pension and any estate we would want to have to help our grandchildren. We'd like to be able to have both cash and care --and who wouldn't. But these are belt-tightening years for all --and we all should take responsibility for ourselves --without failing to be compassionate to the needy and suffering.

 But it is just wrong and divisive to foment class warfare as obama did to get votes -- to encourage the "have lesses" to begrudge the "have mores" the fruits of their labor the way this president does. He convinced the poor that if the "rich" "pay just a little bit more" it would solve our deficit crisis. Well, it won't. There aren't enough rich people to make it happen by taxing them his "little bit more." Or even a lot more. As it is, the top 1 per cent of income earners pay 37% of all income tax; the top 5% pay 59% of the tax and the top 10 percent pay over 70 per cent of the tax. the top 25% pay 87% and the top half pay 98 percent of the tax. The bottom half making less than 32,300 per year pay 2 1/4 % of all income tax (and probably qualify for Earned Income Tax Credits --getting money back that they didn't put in.)

 We have to stimulate the economy with incentives --free enterprise --job creation for profit. E.G. when Jon took the risk of hiring a P.A., it improved everybody's pay in the office because it brought in more patients. He has more responsibility to supervise his PA 's work --but he also can get away and still keep the office open. He took three 4-day vacations this summer with kids from the church bus ministry, taking them tubing, etc. Spent 4 days at the lake with grandchildren, 2 or 3 at my brother's, and 4 days in Michigan with his Mom, 91, and Rob taking her to Macinac --he could do that because he hired Joel as PA. It was REALLY hectic the years he delivered babies --and he only quit that in the year when the malpractice rates for ob-gyn shot through the roof.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OPPOSES ADVISING YOUTH TO MARRY BEFORE PARENTING

Santorum said: "Finish high school, get a job, wait for marriage before parenting. Those three things, if you do [them], according to Brookings [Institute], result in only 2 percent of people who do all those things ending up in poverty, and 77 percent above the national average in income. It’s a huge, huge opportunity for us.

But what is the Obama administration doing? Elaine Bennett, wife of Bill Bennet, runs a program called Best Friends. And she told me through Bill that the Obama administration now has a policy, and this program is a program targeted at at-risk youth, specifically, in many cases, the African-American community, who are at-risk young girls. The Obama administration now has regulations that tell them they can no longer promote marriage to these young girls. They can no longer promote marriage as a way of avoiding poverty and bad choices that they make in their lives. They can no longer even teach abstinence education. Th

ey have to be neutral with respect to how people behave.

The problem is: neutrality ends in poverty; neutrality ends in choices that hurt people’s lives. This administration is deliberately telling organizations which are there to help young girls make good choices, NOT to tell them what the good choice is. That is absolutely unconscionable!"

I also heard Planned Parenthood tell us school board members the same thing –don’t promote marriage because it would offend the students' parents who had not married each other. Now look what we have –84% black in Chicago are single parented and you can bet most are in poverty category. And their schools are failing –why? Because functional parents are important in the homes of children. It almost always means less money for families –for women and kids –when men make multiple families. It’s the LEFT that disregards the relationship between religions, morals, marriage, and money.

I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty about their pasts --but to get us all on the same page regarding what's best in advice and teaching for youth. We know what causes poverty --it's too often our moral choices (and those of our parents)--and our unsanctified personalities that make it hard for marriage to work. Commitment to marriage and children is a boon to our emotional, spiritual, physical, and economic well-being. Think of all the expense from STD's like HIV/AIDS, from addictions, from unwed pregnancy, from divorce --we are over-burdening our Uncle Sam! Obama's rich can't even pay the bill with 100 per cent of their incomes!

Obamas and the Flag

From Snopes: "Of the first (not wearing a flag pin), Obama's actual explanation went as follows:

"You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin. Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism." (Source: ABC News, Oct. 4, 2007.)

What a lame excuse! I'd have more respect if he said he couldn't find it! or didn't have one. Or left it on his other suit.  But to call the flag pin a substitute for patriotism???  Really!!!??
As for his other faux pas, not covering his heart with his hand when everyone else is and he knows eyes are on him, what was that?  Ignorance?  Or friendship with flag burners? 

Furthermore, his attitude toward the flag in his actual quote --is consistent with the video taken a year ago at the 9/11 ceremony of Michelle whispering something that looked like "All this for a   d... flag!" And his look in response to her.

They sure allow room to think they belittle the flag as a symbol of our nation --and disrespect the solemnity of ceremonies involving the flag. It's understandable, given their backgrounds. And now we have this new flag  ABOVE with his O on it -- and stripes like the blood smears on the wall in the photo from the middle east. 

If they're smart, they'll say it was a tribute to the fallen --but with the O in the corner?  Doesn't wash.

I think it's really weird --the coincidence of their actions with the anti-American mentors they had.   Then there was the covering of  Georgetown U's. in-obvious Christian symbol high up on the wall behind him when he was to speak there --and his messing with the flag using the Obama "O" --and his photo in place of the stars in one case. Why can't he learn from the criticism?  There are actually U.S. laws against messing with the flag this way.   Does he have a message he'd rather get to his radical supporters? Some signal indicating that he is still with Ayers, Doehrn, Davis, Alinsky, Khalidi, Rezko, Islamists and other flag and country haters at heart? Or are the Obamas just insensitive, obtuse, slow-learning and ill-mannered?

Pray for God's Will --whatever it is.

About Romney and Snooky

I blog at a newspaper --liberal one --big city --and here are 2 comments about Romney's comment in interview for TV where he said he enjoys Snooky --on Jersey Shore.  The 2nd comment is mine.  (The reason I don't identify the newspaper here is because I don't want to be stalked and harrassed by someone who would again have me in his cross-hairs.)

The more I thought about Romney's comments in the interview, the more I find them disturbing. He is the potential leader of this country, he could not pick anyone better than Snooki? There are plenty young men and women in the entertaining business who devote themselves to humanitarian causes, he has to pick Snooki?
As to the comment "I heard the best answer is as little as possible." Oh, Where is your own mind, Mr. Romney?
Both what Mitt and Ann said in the interview are undignified. Th whole irony is this: Romney won't release his tax returns beyond two years, he won't tell us the details of his economic plans and foreign policies, but he is willing tell us that he likes Snooki? If he is elected, God helps us!

Gee whiz --I learned on this blog that Obama said something about Snooky in some interview moment --and then later didn't recall knowing who that was. Remember that Dave Letterman and Jay Leno and comedy channel stars --talk about Snooky. So pop culture knows who Snooky is --whether or not Obama and Romney really do.

Remember that Obama just called a radio show, The Pimp with the Limp, recently --in Fla. to express his appreciation for a couple of specific songs --so he is pandering to common folk with common tastes, too. Both trying to shed the label of elitists.

So how disturbing is that?

It should disturb you more that the influences on Obama are Alinsky who wrote Rules for Radicals,  Karl Marx, Communist FM Davis, Weathermen bombers Ayers & Doehrn, anti-Israel Muslim Prof. khaldi and Muslim slumlord Tony Rezko, and Rev. Jeremiah "damning America" Wright --and his "bitter half" Michelle --who mouthed her disdain for flag respect at the 9/11 ceremony a year ago --and the socialist, over-paid Chicago gal --what's her name --Valerie Jarett --who hangs around in the family quarters with them --along with Reggie Love (now resigned) --his gay trainer who claimed to "wake up the pres. every am." Where was the wife, inquiring minds wondered?

 
 Don't look at what the candidates say in interviews trying to show that they are " just folks like us"  as much as their record.   Romney balanced the state budget 4 years in a row in Mass as their gov. Obama has added 1/3 of our total national debt since Go. Washington in his 3 years of serving. And seems not to know the relationship between deficit and debt. 

Romney ran a company that now holds the pension plans of state service and teacher retirement unions because of  bain's good return on investments. He gave start-up money to many successful companies that provided many jobs.

 
 What has Obama done?????????? His claim to fame, death of Osama, would've been accomplished no matter who was president --because the special ops people did it and have been working on finding that guy since 9/11. The tragedy is that the MD who helped us find him is in Pakistan jail for 33 years --how did our admin. let that happen? leaks. And why can't we get the guy out. He did what Pakistan claimed THEY were helping us do --find Osama. We should sanction Pakistan if they don't give us the doctor.

I might add here that  foreign policy springs from one's world view, intelligence, and others in the leadership team who are experts in international relations.   Obama's policy, as he would "state it"  which Blogger above wants Romney to do --has not been successful. I don't think we understand the obama policy --except to say he does apologize for our problems with and treatment of  Islamists/terrorists.  And yet they hate him, too --burning him in effigy. 

 

Can anyone's policy be viewed as wholly successful in this world climate?  I don't know.  But for sure, we need to get our economic house in order and Obama is going in the wrong direction.   Romney/Ryan are the business/math minds together.  I don't want them to know EXACTLY what they would do right now --simple solutions, fast solutions, are subject to the realities of the office and the world.   But Obama has had some time to work on this --and he has failed utterly.

Obama's Speech Should've Included....

 I thought it was the same old faces with the same old empty, no solutions, emotional-hype- rhetoric. But the GOP convention included new people, up and comers, great speeches. and stuff about Romney I didn't know --but was glad to hear. And I thought he spoke forcefully and eloquently --not like a whiney Polosi and a halting Obama.

Look at Barack's speech: empty platitudes and stale promises. He says things like, "We can" "We're in this together! I have faith in the American people. I believe in you --We must improve.  We need jobs.  (yup)  Better, cheaper education for all --take care of the less fortunate --penalize the fortunate --be patient with me --give me another 4 years to do what i've been doing." 

Many generalities that any student body president could think of and say --things we generally agree about --except raising taxes.

Speech should've included: "I've invested the People's money in off shore drilling in So. America and blocked it in No. america. I say we must become energy independent while making it impossible because I block anything that isn't green enough for me.

I talk about keeping jobs here --while not raising a squeak when GM (who still owes us 25 billion) took Volt manufacture to China. 

I support Israel --barely--while giving our money to Palestine whose radicals get ahold of it. 

I promised transparency and blocked C Span from health deliberations. I shun lobbyists while meeting them across the street in a restaurant and off calendar."

 "I don't know what in heck to do, to tell you the truth! I've never had a real job. This is my first time to be head of anything, after all. But be patient --I'll get it figured out.' Just keep that teleprompter where I can see it! So I can lead my cheers!" 

BTW --I was against gay marriage before i was for it --and I never saw an abortion I couldn't approve --or an abortion survivor whom the law should protect"

I know he's president --but that's what's amazing, REALLY!

Hurrah for Romney! GREAT SPEECH! Woe to Spinners!

Woe to the Spinners! Romney hit that ball out of the park! I loved the speech --I loved all the speeches last night! Rubio was ingenious. And I suspect all the negative spin is fear-based --fear that Obama can't compete with down-home American beliefs and values --with a solid family man about whom there have been no Globe articles about threats of divorce, infidelities and affairs with gay trainer Reggie Love.

I felt Romney was just like people I know --church community people. And I gathered from the many who worked with him and benefitted from Bain, including a democratic woman in his Mass. government --that he is a man of exceptional abilities and character. I liked hearing people tell of his compassion for their dying children, and how he made a housewife comfortable by helping her fold the laundry.

Obama? smoking pot, running around with radicals, no friends that anyone can find except communists, Weathermen, Black Panthers and Acorn.
 Who's REALLY out of touch here with mainstream America? Not Romney.

Why indeed?  Because he is way more incompetent in international diplomacy than Dems said of Romney --way more mixed up by his Islamic, Communistic, anti-white-Imperialist, race-baiting, socialistic,  Alinsky-style Rules for Radicals and Jeremiah Wright, anti-american  influences.     

Romney abroad?   He dared to tie into what the British  themselves were saying about the Olympics, concerned for lack of security.  Liberals picked up on this and made it sound insulting.  I read what he said.  It didn't sound insulting to me.

I'm convinced that the  liberal press cares not one whit for honesty, objectivity or accuracy. Granted some conservative bloggers have manufactured falsehoods --and I don't deny that the Truth isn't always self evident --but  SO MUCH evidence is out there to suggest we need NEW HOPE & CHANGE --not this socialistic direction in which we are going.  

Obama has put more people on SSI disability recently than new jobs --to reduce the unemployment stats.

On Legitimate Rape? More of My Blog Posts

I didn't hear the gentleman on "legitimate rape," but let me guess --was he trying to distinguish between women who are really raped and those who would cry "rape!" just to get their abortions --and not because they were really raped? I bet that's what he meant by legitimate.

I think his concern probably was that if abortion is made illegal --but legal for rape --that all women will claim they were raped when they want abortions. There is nothing legit about rape, of course --and GOP knows it same as the DIMS. And it is very DIM and an effort to obfuscate the facts to misunderstand what the man meant .

Abortion takes a human life for selfish reasons. There are very few women impregnated by rape, incest --and hardly any who have to terminate a pregnancy in the 3rd trimester to save her life --via partial birth abortion. The child can be delivered early instead of aborted if the woman cannot carry to term.

Abortion should never have been legalized --except  for rape, incest, life of mother  --where the sad choices have some legitimacy.  Take the rare 12 year old rape victim who is impregnated.  (I wonder how many of these there are?)    Personally speaking,  I don't think she should also be forced through pregnancy and labor because of an act of rape, which is always against God's will.

  Gay marriage should not be legalized --for its effect on youth. 

  Romney will not  tax the middle class more than the rich.   And he isn't going to hurt the elderly.

What you don't get is that we are all going to be poor under O if we don't have REAL change --not socialistic change.  Why would we want to be like GREECE???   Obama is taking us there as fast as he can.   He's either ignorant and inept about economics --or he's determined to break us down and then take over in a  Bolshevik fashion.  I prefer to think the former.  In either case, "Hit the Road, Barack!"

When he ineptly lost weapons in Mexico to drug running murderers -- when he snubbed Israel --when he and his wife gave up their law licenses before they could be disbarred (her for insurance fraud and him for lying on application) --when he got pork money as a senator for Tony Rezko, the slum lord who blew millions of our money which Obama got for him -- when he let two terrorist radicals establish him in politics with a fund-raiser at their house --when he let himself be touted as a Constitutional law prof --when he was a lower echelon instructor who avoided the faculty discussion group mtgs. --when he invested tax money into failed green companies --when he told the Christian schools and Catholic institutions that they have to pay for birth control and abortifacients for students and employees --when his party gives money to PP whose primary business is abortion--despite their claim to provide general women's healthcare.  We have plenty of public health offices for the women's healthcare --we don't need abortionist PP and it is illegal to take our tax money to pay for abortion. 

Look at the mentors he had, and all he does is understandably either inept from no real job experience --or bent on our downfall for socialist "change."   There is a Catholic priest who reminds us at youtube --that socialism, little brother of Marxist Communism,  ultimately denies the validity of religion and takes away religious liberty.   ALready, Obama has started this in his Obamacare, forcing the religious institutions to go against their religious beliefs --or be fined hugely.

You look at a man's record --Romney is successful at management and making money. He did this for free for 8 years? (the Olympics and the Governorship.)  His goal is to make us successful economically as a country--ALL OF US can then be lifted up. There is truth to "trickle down" economics --evidenced by fact that our poor people are the richest poor people in the world --with running water, heat, A/c, electric, IPods, big screen tv's, IPads, video game systems, nice clothes, furniture, free healthcare, free money, subsidized everything, food cards, and expensive tattoos and piercings.

NOW, if we could just study harder in school, we might all experience the upward mobility of the many who started out poor and are now rich (like many people I know.) There has been opportunity in this country--and I'm tired of hearing democratic constituency belly-aching about their SELF-IMPOSED poverty (with all the benefits I listed above) --self-imposed by smoking, drinking, fathering multiple families, and refusing to even look for legit work. (though granted, there isn't much work now in this socialistic nation. Obama wants to create more disabled on SSI (more than jobs currently) or gov't jobs --for which the gov't HAS NO MONEY!   And taxing the rich higher  can be done --but it will be a band-aid unless you stop this spending! and growth in entitlements!  

I believe he is setting us up for a violent response from his supporters if he doesn't win --his party and supporters are accusing GOP of racism and sexism (the war on women)  and greed.     The greed and envy are on the Democratic side --and it's not factually defensible to say the GOP has no compassion for the poor.  NOt so.  But we see a system that is rewarding all the wrong things --and fomenting unrest among the envious.  Convincing the elderly that they will suffer under Romney--when in fact, it is the other way around.  Obama Care rations treatment for the elderly -- in a draconian way. We have to do something to continue to care for the elderly and the truly needy who lack options  --we can't continue to do it with all the greed, fraud, envy, unrest, socialist thinking of OBama.

GAY MARRIAGE WILL TEACH OUR YOUTH THAT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE

The law is a teacher.  Way more women abort now than before.    We have performed 50 million legal abortions since we legalized abortion; the pro-aborts with knowledge have admitted that reports of illegal abortions causing maternal deaths annually were hugely exaggerated as propaganda for abortion prior to 1973.    That's what gay marriage will do --TEACH the youth that it makes no difference whether you do it with a woman or a man.  Because what is legal is seen as "right."
I just had this conversation with a young marijuana smoker --he said it's LEGAL as medicine in some states so it must not be that bad.  Medicine can't be bad for you.    The mature know this is not true --and know the bad effects of mj on the brain.  But the immature think the law stands for what is right and good.   Therefore, the law teaches --that there is nothing wrong with abortion, drugs now deemed mostly illegal, and homosex-perimentation and exploring one's sexuality.
Consider that in Uganda MSM are  19 times more likely to be HIV infected than someone in the general popululation --that MSM are still the leading carriers and victims of new cases of HIV in the US and the world.    You just can't sanitize or disease-proof anal sex --or oral sex with infected people.  There is a high risk of harm for MSM and their women and children.  There is risk to public health via the lowered immunity of AIDS victims.  What they can get, we can all get because their vulnerability puts diseases out there for all. 
We need to cease and desist.   Who on earth wants his anus penetrated the first time?  Only a nutcase, so the likely recipients of this act were seduced or coerced --and the result is damaged gender identity.   Those who initiate others into this gay identity and  lifestyle or encourage them to experiment with it are doing a great evil to youth.    Legal gay marriage will be a pandora's box of  sex-ploration by youth, more  people with STD's, and risk to the health of all through lowered immunity of AIDS.  And more people disinclined  to procreate and sustain normal hetero relationships and family life.

My Response on a Blog Re: Obama's Defense of Gay Marriage

Argue with St. Paul if you must. That was only 20 centenarians' lifetimes ago and he has more claim to divine insight than most of us since he was a persecutor of Christians who was blinded by a light on the road to Damascus ("he saw the light!".) He heard the resurrected Christ's voice telling him how and where and by whom (named him) to get his sight back (ironically on the street called Straight) --and from then on, he was a leading teacher/apologist for Christianity. I suppose you know Sodomy gets its name from the city where the men desired sex with the angels --who were visiting Lot as men. It refers to homosexual relations. Don't be so sure (as you stated)  that these acts possible for men with each other were as common as you think for married heteros through the ages ----especially anal --or swallowing semen. I'm pretty sure my mother and grandmother never did these things. And it's not the way I have sex either. And I've yet to have a lady friend tell me she loves sex this way--but I've had a few say they got rid of guys who wanted them to do gay acts. They told 'em to get hence and find a boyfriend for the yuck stuff.

Men want these acts once they experience them, evidently. Which is why sodomy is so forbidden in the Bible. God knows that men would put their do-hickies just ANYWHERE! and come to crave the forbidden if they pursued self-gratification this way (lovers of self.) The procreative plan is for man to crave intimacy with his wife in the normal way--not to say there isn't much variety in position and in foreplay --and in oral stimulation --which is probably all permissible. As Paul wrote, "The marriage bed is undefiled."

My remark about AIDS. It was quixotic what society/media did in the wake of the AIDS crisis. It seems suicidal to promote homosexuality as a normal, unavoidable, lifestyle. But we did it --and went to great lengths in our privacy protection--because we didn't want anyone to persecute AIDS victims for fear of their blood and fluids. The country WAS terrified that we didn't know how to stop this epidemic that was fluid-borne. We feared accidental contagion through contact sports, traffic accidents, bathroom accidents, hospitals --(and some of those were afflicted and died of AIDS because of needle-sticks or surgery accidents.) It WAS the gays and "men on the downlow" who brought it to America --to the blood supply, the prostitutes, the drug addicts, wives and their babies. The promiscuity of the gay community was amazing --horrifying --so the idea of marriage came up --maybe if they married....! But if heteros weren't faithful, why would we think that homosexuals would be more so? Considering the huge beach parties, bath houses, gay bars, and the extremely promiscuous nature of the movement. Newsweek noted the young gays, late in the epidemic, didn't use condoms.  They showed photos of huge beach parties, with hundreds of men standing around at night half-dressed --some women.  No, not swimming.  Holding their drinks, networking, finding temporary boyfriends.   Sad, not gay.
