CAN THIS BE SO? ILLEGALS GETTING MORE MONEY THAN CITIZENS IN USA?

I got this in an email -haven't gone to SNOPES yet. You can!

Having spent three weeks in a hospital in Naples, Florida with my wife I couldn't help noticing what was going on in the hospital and I had a lot of time to talk to the doctors and nurses about what I had observed. Below is a commentary from an ER Doctor. Do you think this might be a big reason our health care system and our social security system are so screwed up? Do you think this might be a big reason our taxes keep going up? Who do you think these people are going to vote for?
From a Florida ER doctor:

"I live and work in a state overrun with illegals. They make more money having kids than we earn working full-time. Today I had a 25-year old with 8 kids - that's right 8; all illegal anchor babies and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing, etc. She makes about $1,500 monthly for each; you do the math. I used to say, "We are the dumbest nation on earth." Now I must say and sadly admit: WE are the dumbest people on earth (that includes ME) for we elected the idiot idealogues who have passed the bills that allow this. Sorry, but we need a revolution. Vote them all out in 2010. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--- REMEMBER ---
IN NOVEMBER 2010, WE HAVE A GOLDENOPPORTUNITYTO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an insult and a kick in the butt to all of us...

Get mad and pass it on - I don't know how, but maybe some good will come of this travesty.
If the immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until 2004.
She is only getting $791 per month because she was born in 1924 and there's a 'catch 22.'
It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890. Each can also obtain an additional $580 in social assistance, for a total of $2,470 a month.
This compares to a single pensioner, who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can all be ticked off and maybe get the refugees cut back to $1,012 and the pensioners up to $2,470. Then we can enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 or 60 years. And not to receive a increase for 2010 Vote them all out of office...
Please forward this to every American to expose what our elected politicians have been doing for the past 11 years to over-taxed Americans.
SEND THIS TO EVERY AMERICAN TAXPAYER YOU KNOW.

Damn foreign DEVILS, round em up and put em against a wall!

"As the (illegals) first appeared several weeks ago on the streets of (Naples) graced with their (brown skin), the initial reaction of the citizens of the Reich was surprise. Only a few knew that there were still so many (illegals) in (Naples). Everyone suddenly found someone in the neighborhood who seemed like a harmless fellow citizen, who perhaps complained or criticized a bit more than normal, and whom no one had thought to be a (illegals). He had concealed himself, mimicked his surroundings, adopting the color of the background, adjusted to the environment, in order to wait for the proper moment. Who among us had any idea that the enemy was beside him, that a silent or clever auditor was attending to conversations on the street, in the subway, or in the lines outside cigarette shops? There are (illegals) one cannot recognize by external signs (other than their brown skin). These are the most dangerous. It always happens that when we take some measure against the (illegals), (Media) report it the next day. Even today the (illegals) still have secret connections to our enemies abroad and use these not only in their own cause, but in all military matters of the Reich as well. The enemy is in our midst. What makes more sense than to at least make this plainly visible to our citizens?"

There you go again, Steve, shining the bright light of truth onto this din of iniquity and spoiling all of the 'fun' that Barb has dancing with prejudice. And a she's such a GOOD [c]hristian, too!

Personally, if I were given a choice in the matter I would rather have an immigrant as a neighbor than a natural born citizen.

Barb said...

If you and Mudrake paid very much in taxes and found out that the illegal alien was getting more social security and health benefits than you, I bet you wouldn't think it was fair --especially if the illegal wasn't working and/or had never paid taxes as you did.

I don't know if this email is truthful --and you haven't refuted it. I do know there is some inequity to those born in a certain year --1922 --as my mother in law is one of them. I've never understood why that wasn't corrected. They are called "notch babies" she says. she doesn't understand it herself.

I wonder what nationality these illegals were in Naples --is he referring to Jews as "brown?" Jews were pretty obvious by their ghettos, I assume --but otherwise indistinguishable from the less-nordic- (Aryan)looking Germans like Hitler --who potentially could blend in with Jewish appearance himself acc'g to photos.

Mudrake, if you ever really read anything I wrote, you'd know I'm not for shipping every Mexican and Muslim back where they came from --nor for punitive measures. But I do think we need to tighten security/borders against criminals, drug pushers and their products, murderers, people who intend to live off Uncle Sam without contributing--and would-be terrorists. People who don't want to apply for citizenship and come legally.

I have also said and sincerely believe the following:

THE HAVE-MORES SHOULD ALL FEEL THE OBLIGATION TO BE COMPASSIONATE. (my church is sending 10 men to Haiti (a combo of have-mores and have-lesses from our church) to work there early Wednesday for 10 days --we have supplied them with all kinds of medical stuff from a list the church gave them --and cash for the mission.)

AND THE HAVE-LESSES SHOULD NOT HAVE A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT, EXPECTING THAT WORKERS SHOULD SUPPORT THEM, OWING THEM A LIVING AND THEIR HEALTHCARE.

We need to tighten borders against people who won't contribute just because the gov't is BROKE. We need to get our economic house in order --and it starts with self-reliance for the able --willingness to take less pay for unions --willingness to take less pay as CEO's. Willingness to tax minimally by the gov't.

I just read in Time or Newsweek that the ratio of CEO pay to the lowest wage employee was 35 to 1 --now it is over 200 to 1. REgardless of company profits! That's greed at the top--unnecessary and harmful to Am. economy. And Unions have been counter-productive, as well, when they won't help either.

The anchor babies are not illegals. They were born on American soil and deserve all the rights and privileges of citizenship the rest of us enjoy.

I highly doubt anyone would get $1,500 a month for welfare for one child. No state can afford that.

Yes, the mother came here illegally if this is a true story, but if she or her children are sick they are still human beings and deserve to be medically treated.

Barb said...

Why the preference, CA? And you do live by some immigrants, don't you --and people of other races? I would assume....

BTW, Mudrake, on the subject of prejudice against those who "differ" from us in some way, my next-door neighbor in the biggest, fanciest house on the street is a Christian black couple who probably get 8000 a month at least from the state for foster parenting girls. I've gotten to know these people and we had them over with all the girls and a couple neighbor ladies for a January dinner. So stop your chronic judgmentalism regarding snobbery about nationality and race. The girls have often come here when they couldn't get into their house after school for some reason.

Heck, I've even had my neighbor CA over to dinner, haven't I , CA?!

I'd even have Steve and Mudrake over to dinner! but Mudrake is too prejudiced to come --or even be civil on a blog. So who's the snob?

I wonder, Jeanette, if you think it's a good trend to pay money to women here illegally for every baby they have here? Seems to be encouraging people to come here for the income for birthing? And if it is unwed teen birthing, over 90 percent of their daughters will do it the same way.

I'm all for birthing --as we need kids --but kids brought up to respect law and morality and self reliance. And NO, I don't think abortion is the counter-solution to a problem of kids used for income.

but LEGAL immigration is what we should be requiring --illegal should be stopped by better border control via surveillance technology.

Again, I'm for all the generosity we can afford --and we must help children. But total gov't support for irresponsible parents raising kids to be gov't reliant like themselves? No.

Again, the sense of entitlement of the poor is wrong and schools and ads and TV should influence against such a sense that the workers owe the non-workers a living pay from the gov't. -

On the other hand, the obligation of compassion from the have mores is Christian.

Gov't needs to learn how to promote BOTH self-reliance and compassionate responsibility for each other. I'm for work projects for people who are receiving aid. But, alas, my dysfunctional and not-retarded friend wouldn't even try to meet the gov't standards of house-keeping to stay in her subsidized housing. She'd start to pack before she'd start to clean--and the church rescued her so her kids would have a roof over their heads.

Barb, my beliefs are quite simple. If a child is born in the US that child is a citizen of this country and deserves all the rights and privileges of citizenship.

If that means we have to support the children, then so be it as far as I'm concerned.

But we should also encourage these children to get an education and assimilate into the American culture. They are not all stupid and one of them could someday find a cure for cancer or Alzheimer's or any number of diseases if we will just mentor them and be their moral compass if the mother isn't.

But many Latinos (I suspect that's who you are talking about) are deeply religious and devout family people.

I don't want everyone in South or Central America or Mexico to come here illegally, of course. We can't pay to support them all, but for the children born here we have an obligation to them. Actually we have an obligation to all the children of this world. They didn't ask or volunteer for their situation.

Jesus told us to suffer the little children to come unto Him, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven made.

I can't turn my back on anyone in need, legal or illegal. And until I've walked in their shoes I have no right to criticize them for wanting a better life.

Have you ever been to Tijuana? The children are the most pathetic I have ever seen and though it was years ago I will never forget them selling candy as we crossed back over to the American side of the border. No one should have to live that way. No one.

Jeanette said...

And instead of using the word "retarded" why don't you try "mentally handicapped"? They can't help if their IQ is lower than the average person.

Barb said...

But many Latinos (I suspect that's who you are talking about) are deeply religious and devout family people.

Of course Latinos are, Jeanette. And as such, they should be law-abiding in how they enter the country. The article didn't speak of a particular group, did it? and nationality/race is irrelevant to me and of course, neither you nor I would turn a child away from care or food or school--or church. Yes, I hope our Latinos coming in are devout and religious family people. I think there is some evidence that California's immigrants include not a few criminals.

But we still need to figure out some way to afford compassion as a nation--because all the teachers, healthcare people, farmers, et al --have to be paid.

I would like to see us discourage the crippling sense of entitlement to get everything free and be looked after by the taxpayer that almost every American and immigrant have. Ad campaigns and education, perhaps. Of course, children should have opportunities for education and must be cared for by the humane nation that we are.

For the record, Jeanette, I didn't say anyone WAS retarded --I said this person was NOT retarded, which would have been an excuse for her. Yes, it would be more PC to say "mentally handicapped" though it is even MORE PC to not recognize " mental handicap" at all. It takes longer to type. "Handicapable," our kids were taught to say.

I knew there were no retarded people who would be offended here at my blog.

Retarded simply means slower. This lady was not slower --just always "overwhelmed" by her laundry, dishes, kids, etc. And so we were compassionate and we helped them for years. But I can't tell you that she could not have done more for herself --but she was the product of a mother like herself whom she could not stand. So there were chronic emotional "issues" --and she has always received tons of help and freebies from gov't and churches --and tons of counsel, also. And free healthcare from my husband and a multitude of specialists for the pain of the month tests.

I remember reading Dwight Eisenhower's biography by um... De.. De... something.. Anyway, Between WW1 and WW2 Eisenhower and Patton were both stationed at Fort Riley Kansas, and this duo of Patton and Eisenhower is largely responsible for the development of the Tank tactics and doctrines that would later be used in WW2. I remember this part of the book well because it spoke about the privations the army went through between the wars as the nation demobilized from WW1. Both Eisenhower and Patton lived in basically muddy wooden shanties. They couldn't get enough men to man their tanks.. they couldn't get spare parts to fix their tanks. Sometimes they wouldn't even get paid. The Military completely demobilized after WW1. After the Surprise attack of WW2 America has been on this offensive war footing that extends our military might into every corner of the world - so that another Pearl Harbor won't happen again.. That's the justification for being world cop.. along with keeping the oil supply lines open. But the justification for this hyper war footing and this Roman Legion like out posting and garrisoning of US power abroad was rendered worthless on 9/11. So why do we still spend the lion-share of our GDP on the military? Obviously being world cop is not going to stop a surprise attack from abroad. I mean, is having a carrier battle group sailing the 7 seas, sucking up millions of dollars a day, going to stop a shipping container with a chemical weapon from entering a port and killing a large chunk of NY? No it's not. It would be better to take those millions the carrier battle group is wasting just floating around the planet, and create an impenetrable port system that ensures that every container entering the country is thoroughly inspected.

After the surprise attack at Pearl Harbor. Admiral Yamamoto sullenly proclaimed his famous line "I fear we have only awakened a sleeping giant". And his words were prophetic because once the nation geared up for war, the US was an unstoppable juggernaut. We didn't become this world power because we already HAD a huge military deployed all over the world. We became this juggernaut because we had our power concentrated back home like a coiled up spring.

With the military abroad sucking up 23% (51% if you include off the book military expenditures) of our GDP. We're not a coiled spring ready to pounce. Our power has already been sprung, Each day that the billions pour into maintaining this mirage of power, it's another day America gets weaker. So don't blame "healthcare" or some poor illegal immigrant for our woes. It's the military industrial complex, ironically tasked with protecting the country, that is in essence destroying the country. Rome learned the hard way.. England and France learned the hard way (100 years war), will we learn in time?

I started off with Eisenhower so I think his words are prescient:

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."

Barb said...

But steve, in the pie charts i've seen, I don't think the national security expense has exceeded or even caught up with the entitlements.

Meanwhile, we are hopefully training a lot of military guys to do something useful NOW and hopefully they will have a skill or at least some maturity when they come home. They've done something for which we help them get an education when they come back.

I'd rather pay these guys to defend the country and help with infrastructure in poor countries as we are doing than to have them home here collecting unemployment and making babies they aren't fathering.

I don't approve of all the moms leaving kids to serve in the military. That's the women's movement gone awry.

steve said...

A vast sea of people that have cycled through the armed forces are coming home broken men that the government will have to support for the rest of their lives. We are still paying the health care costs of WW2 veterans and Korean veterans etc.. those are legacy costs of conflicts that we will be paying for for decades to come. That's why the true cost to the deficit of an offensive military is a majority chunk of our nations wealth.

Barb said...

So freedom is costly to our young people --that's not news. And we need to take care of them.

You can't ignore a festering world such as that in the middle east and not see it grow more terrorists heading our way. You can THINK and SAY we've exacerbated terrorism --but I doubt it very much. I think that's liberal propaganda. Or a case of something having to get worse before better in its desperation to maintain control.

We have also opened a doorway to democracy AND religious freedom --it won't stay open easily, but I believe that even their own people, the majority, want the peace and the democracy and the infrastructure their tyrants wouldn't give them. Who would want to be ruled by Sadam or the Taliban or Al qaeda --except their crazed and hateful members whom you can liken to Naziis and the Ku Klux Klan --devil-ruled.

The WWII veterans are dying by the hundreds every day. In the past three years I have attended the funerals of three of them myself and it looks as though a fourth is getting set to leave us.

My uncle served in Korea when he was 18 years old. He's in his late seventies now, has had the toes on one foot amputated due to frost bite suffered in Korea and still has shrapnel in his body from two wounds.

He's not in good health and you think he's a burden on your wallet, Steve?

The actual burden on your wallet is Obama and his merry band of democrats in congress. You haven't even begun to see what's going to happen with all the new taxes necessary to pay for this ill-conceived health care bill. They went for the whole enchilada instead of targeted fixes to the system.

When you get out of nursing school tell us then if you think you are being compensated fairly for the work you have to do. Yes, you'll make money, but you'll have to work harder for it, longer hours and less time to spend with your family.

And that's just to pay your taxes.

You democrats all talk about what we could do with the money spent on wars but never address what we could do with all the money wasted in our medical system where people are gaming the medicaid system and taking advantage of free ER visits for the sniffles.

We could save billions if we just policed that. Tell me in ten years if nursing is working out the way you expect.

And continue to tell us Obama is the "priest" performing an exorcism on this country. I can think of many ways to describe the man, but "priest" is not one of them. And it has nothing to do with color in case Mudrake has brainwashed you into thinking I'm racist.

Did you know he blogs terrible things about the Jews in Israel or that he once called me a "drunken Injun" on another site?

I bet you didn't because he allows no dissenting opinion on his blog and tells lies about Barb and me there and anywhere else he can spread his racism and hatred for conservatives and born-again Christians.

You do still remember what a born-again Christian is, don't you?

Jeanette said...

Why don't you, in your lofty capacity of being able to comment at Mudrake's site, ask him to tell you his position on Israel vs Palestinians.

I dare you because I would be interested in seeing what the Jewish Laci the dog would say.

Also ask him if he ever referred to me as a "drunken Injun" when describing why he didn't return a call I made to him asking him to stop impersonating me on blogs.

Ask him for "my" blogspot address and what the password is so I can take it down since he won't.

Yeah, he praises you now, but don't ever cross him.

steve said...

I'm not getting involved with the feud between you guys and mudrake. I post there often because I enjoy the level of intelegence of the fellow bloggers - a lot of times I disagree with what they are saying and I give my oppinion respectfully.. I don't dwell on it if they have a contrary opinnion. My opinnion is mine and mine alone. I don't take it personally if someone has a differing oppinion, I take whatever they say, weigh it against my personal views and standards, and either inicorporate it or disregard it. I don't make personal attacks on people, I just put my oppinion out there and then that's that, what more can a person do? No use argueing.. I try to research my oppinions and back them up with statistics and facts, not emotional appeals or propaganda.

Now concerning the above, about the deficit and military spending, You missed my point entirely. I wasn't saying that we shouldn't support our vetarans, quite the contrary since I am a VFW of the persian gulf war. I sometimes think I have gulf war syndrome, but have never pursued it because I figure it would be pointless to try to get benifits. So I whole hardedly support taking care of our veterans 100 percent to the Nth degree! The point I am trying to make is that keeping the country on a continual war footing is ironically destroying the country by draining the countries resources. The VA would be in a better position to take care of veterans if they weren't spending bazillions of dollars beating the rest of the world with a stick. I could quote all the founding fathers in the warning to stay out of international affairs till I'm blue in the face.. but that would be poinless wouldn't it?

Barb said...

But is there a better thing to do with our young people who would otherwise have no jobs --than to have them defending the country and working on infrastructure of miserable countries? E.G. they liberated women to start attending schools and practicing their professions in Afghanistan -which the Taliban disallowed. Hopefully, the Taliban haven't been able to execute adultresses at the hockey game half-times, lately, either.

Bleeding heart liberals will bleed for EVERY issue everywhere in the world --until we go there to do something about it! Then we should bring our money home. Hypocrites! Actually, they are more myopic than hypocritical --all they see is negativity at home and think we should have utopia instead --and turn a blind eye to the rest of the world --i.e. unless poor children are making Nikes, learning to sew, instead of working in the dumps. Not that I'm for child labor, mind you, but I bet most of our factories ultimately raise standards of living for whole families.

Mavis Leno, Jay's wife, called attention to the plight of afghani women before the war.

But we cant just fly in like Superheroes and fly out right away and let the bad guys rise up again.
