Double Standard on Inaugural Expense --Rude Dems and other Tho'ts

The Media was all over GWBush and GOP for their expensive inaugurations --and then Obama spent 3 times as much --and that's OK.

You know, if you stayed home, you actually saw the inauguration --in comfort. NOthing could make me want to be packed like sardines with 2 million people in 18? degree weather. I was impressed that the violin/cello, ensemble number was played so beautifully outdoors --seemingly in jackets, not coats. Did they use video screens throughout the crowd, I wonder? Good news --no arrests. I hear there were boos for Bush but I did not hear them on TV. Democrats are so rude.

Someone wrote a piece in National Review, I think, on the "hissing" that democrats do in crowds and how republicans don't. I did boo Al Gore when he came, come to think of it --when he spoke of women's right to abort. Shame on me. I was younger and my booing was to make a statement that I thought was necessary in a pro-democrat crowd of 5000 down at Portside. It was the first Clinton-Gore campaign, i believe.
That's where I first saw young girls chanting at us pro-lifers with our posters, angrily, snarling, something about the church keeping its hands off their ovaries. It was a rhyming ditty. We were there to defend the unborn and remind the audience that the Clinton-Gore ticket favored abortion --as did Obama's, though one democrat caller seemed ignorant of the fact. Democrats tend to vote their Union's wishes, instead of their Church's.

I don't know there were 2 million people. My friend told me she read after they counted all the tickets, including those of the people who couldn't get in, it was less than Reagan had at his Inaugural.

I didn't read it so I can't confirm it, but if I run across it I'll provide a link.

You do know, don't you, that not only did the Chief Justice cause the new President to flub the oath of office, but that for a few minutes we did not have a president?

It was the musicians that caused the delay, so I guess Joe Biden was in charge for those few minutes.

Interesting stuff!

This is my first comment [and hopefully last] on your blog since mid-November at which time I suggested that you see a psychiatrist for your OCD condition.

I have a simple request:

STOP POSTING COMMENTS ON MY BLOG!

Your thoughts are meaningless to me.

Your thoughts are speculation, hearsay nonsense which I do not care to read.

Simply put, I do NOT want to read any more of your comments on my blog.

None.

Is that simple enough, Barb?

...and you need not bloviate excessively about this request as I will not be visiting this blog again.

And you, mudrake, are the classic Troll!

hate-filled, obsessed.

YOU ARE THE ONE TRAILING AFTER ME, SLITHERING with Gollumy flippers slapping, OVER AT MIKE'S AND MASONI'S, JUST TO TALK ABOUT ME --I don't go to blogs JUST to nip at YOUR heels and comment on YOU--as you do to me. I comment on the topics or on the comments on the topics --if comments digress.

Sometimes I go to your blog as I would go to anyone's blog --to comment on topics and comments, because you surely need countering in your hateful, narrow-minded views --and yes, I do occasionally point out your hypocrisy as you claim tolerance and civility and show me none --and you are obnoxious to others who disagree with you --but less so to the men. You are slower to show them your disgust, but you do get there if they persist. But I am your SPECIAL OBJECT OF OBSESSION and censorship and libel.

So who needs the psych couch --or better yet, a conversion experience?

I really do look forward to a time when God will give you a Damascus Road experience and you will see the light and get over this obsession with me --a time when God will hit you upside the head with a revelation of Truth sorely needed, about Himself and your self.

BTW --I know you'll see this, Mudrake --even though you said you wouldn't come over to see my response. You can't help yourself. I see it on my Stat Counter.

I didn't open your blog for quite some time --months, seemed like--and then got interested again since you seemed to continue your interest in me at other blogs. I get curious to see what the old Gollum is up to now.

Barb, Why cant you just ignore him? Dont go to his blog. Dont make off hand comments about him. Dont respond to his provocations elsewhere. Just pretend he doesnt exist.

Barb and her son left 2 new comments on my blog this afternoon even though I asked NOT to post them.

I have posted personal information about them in the thread where they made these unwelcome comments.

O for Pity's Sake! there you go again, Denis. I thought you realized it is not in your best interests to post other folks' personal data online.

Whatever happened to the better angels, Mudrake? the civility, the Democratic Big Tent, the tolerance, the milk of human kindness in every Democrat's heart now that we have a new president? I know, you want evangelicals to stop being against homosexuality or we are what Sepp called "gaycists."

We get our position on the gay agenda from God's Word. And we do not hate anyone. We are concerned for kids and youth and want them to be able to grow up with normal gender identity and normal orientation.

You, on the other hand, ignore God's Word which says you should "love your enemy." Even your blog enemies. Instead, you exhibit "fundaphobia."

Always willing to bury the hatchet,

Barb

BTW --you never told Rob not to post at your blog, so why are you posting info on him as a punishment/threat?

Barb, These are the words of Solomon and I think they rightly apply in your conversation with mudrake.

Proverbs 9: 7-10
"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult;
whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.

Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you;
rebuke a wise man and he will love you.

Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still;
teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Well, you see CA, I've been giving Mudrake the benefit of the doubt, since I know who he is.

I have assumed he might be a wise man at heart --because he thinks he is and I believe he wants to be. He thinks he holds the moral high ground on the divisive, controversial social issues.

But you are right to suggest he is a mocker and he does champion what is evil. And he does not love his ideological opponents (enemies) as Jesus taught.

But I keep teaching, explaining, contending for truth --hoping that in his desire for wisdom, he will someday "get it" and "see the light." Because if one thing can be said about Mudrake, he wants to be right.

Barb, I believe our jobs as followers is to make sure that as many people receive the gospel as possible.

Our responsibility to get the Word out and to live our lives as a testimony (well to try to anyway) is the end of our responsibility.

You can lead a horse to water - but you can't make him drink.

Why stay with an ignorant dying horse when there are so many who would really enjoy a nice drink of cool water?

I'm with CA on this one. The man is obviously quite enchanted with being evil. It will get him the same in the end as it does everyone who serve the devil.

I missed it - but was there personally identifiable information published again about your Barb and your son?

Could you please send me a link? I think that's all we needed.

Thnx.

He took it off again --got scared, I guess. Or had a moment of discernment. I would RATHER think he just decided to be more civil as challenged by me and my buddy Obama. Although his blog still announces --last I looked -- that the blogger Barb R. is not welcome there --no civility in that.

I copied the offending web page, however.
