Holocaust-Denying Bishop to look for "Proof" of Gas Chamber Executions

Seems to me that when one has already conceded to a conspiracy on such a massive scale as the Holocaust, what could possibly be construed as proof? While conceding that there were deaths in the hundreds of thousands of Jews, it's not like Bishop Williamson has the time or means to investigate the individuals of the 5-plus-million Jews murdered in the Holocaust to see if they actually existed and actually died in this period, not withstanding whether any of them died in the gas chamber.

What this highlights is that even for such "undeniable" events in history, we are dependent on others for knowledge, as the majority of mankind cannot have direct access to this event. Most of our knowledge is dependent on the greater community and thus requires a degree of faith in that community.

And of course, there is the problem that if the Bishop is willing to concede to such conspiracy theories, how can he even trust the Gospels in the slightest?

I suggest he go to Israel and see the tattoos on the forearms of those who are still living and survived the death camps. He can ask them for first-hand knowledge of what went on.

Heck, he can come here and see the same thing, but he'd better hurry as they are all getting old.

While in Israel I suggest he see the Holocaust museum so he can see for himself photos of the gulags and the poor people who were human skeletons standing at the fences to be rescued.

Or he can do that in Washington DC.

He might also go through movie archvives and see some of the documentaries I saw as a young girl at the movie theater. Yes, it showed the people lined up at the gas chambers, stripped of all dignity, standing in the cold wet weather naked, waiting to go to their deaths.

This is no man of God; I don't care what his religion is.

Great point, Rob.

Well, here's a glimpse into the mind of Bishop Williams from 1989.

"the Jews created the Holocaust so we would prostrate ourselves on our knees before them and approve of their new State of Israel ... Jews made up the Holocaust, Protestants get their orders from the devil and the Vatican has sold its soul to liberalism."

I am with Jeanette on this one.

You know they are Christians by their love.

There is no love in this man's position on such a tragedy. No human compassion at all.

No, I agree that these are not the words of anyone who knows Christ.

I think we all agree.
