All I can say is this is a great video. It shocks me that, even after all the failed systems like this one, Democrats want it here in the United States.
People do not want to pay anything for healthcare --even for insurance -- I understand with the high cost of everything --but you never hear that gov't should take care of their cars --which are so important to having jobs.
Yet, look at the equipment, technology, skill, knowledge, years of study, research --that go behind a good healthcare system. People don't want to pay--they want gov't to pay --and gov't IS us paying! It's just adding another layer of bureaucracy called a "single-payer system." and it replaces the competing insurance companies and all their jobs with politically connected gov't jobs --like welfare case workers? I've been there, seen how they operate. NO way do we want healthcare to be in their hands! Or like Children's Services Board in charge of so much mis-management and intrusion into people's lives.
I suppose that when universal health care eventually comes to this country, which is pretty much inevitable, you can always deny the coverage out of principle and pay for care out of your own pockets.
That's a take on something a republican candidate said --that the IRS is always willing to take your money, by check or money order, if you really want to pay higher taxes. No body is stopping the dems from paying more money to the Feds. YOu go right ahead!!
You complained of your high insurance premiums. you ain't seen nothing yet.
I'd be for a higher tax for one year to pay down the DEBT --not the deficit per se. And then a vote to have a balanced budget or else. We should pay for new bridges, self-defense, road maintenance, and figure out how to make medicare and medicaid and S.S. survive. All other gov't pork projects and wasteful departments should be trimmed way back --so they don't have any more money to pay for red tape and people standing around the water cooler.
